Special education and intervention students can write sentences with support! This spring-themed activity contains a word bank and sentence frame for children to write with support. Students illustrate their own writing, which gives them ownership and helps them remember what they wrote!
This scaffolded special education writing is intended to empower struggling writers to feel confident about writing a simple sentence. They are soon reading more, and writing more!
This activity has a simple pattern, with the third line blank, so the child is expected to write the entire sentence independently. With a slight pattern change in the last line, students are well on their way to writing stories.
