Valentine's Day Tasks
Teacher Instructions and Usage Ideas
Make individual student copies of the “Valentine’s Day Tasks Checklist”. Distribute the checklist to students and go over each task together.
Option 1: Students can work on any task they want. When they complete a task they check it off on their checklist and begin working on the next task. Students can work at their own pace or you can set a timer.
Option 2: Set up four stations, assign each station to a task, split the class, and have student rotate around the stations, signal to move to the next station with a bell, sound, or other class signal.
For organization purposes and additional visual aid, display the colored task cards by each station if necessary.
Print a class set of “Lovely Writing” page (There are 3 different options for students to choose from.
Print a class set of “Color with Love” page- students can color by number (for lower grade levels) or students can color by solving the division equation
Comply picture books that cover the following topics: love, friendship, family, pets, etc. for the reading station.
Print a class set of “A Wonderful Memory” page on CARDSTOCK so the images can not be seen if the page is flipped over (Go over directions on how to play Memory)
Discuss: kindness, caring, love, family, and friendship with you class and enjoy the activities =)
