This packet includes 5 Valentine's Day themed multiplication and division word problems for progress monitoring. Students must identify what operation to use first. Then students solve the problem. Each progress monitoring assessment includes four problems. An answer sheet is included along with a progress monitoring sheet. The O is for the percentage out of 4 that the student selected the right operation. The A is for the percentage out of 4 that the students got the correct answer.
This resource can be used in the special education, general education, or intervention setting. An example IEP Goal could be:
Given a real life word problem involving whole numbers, ______ will identify the operation needed and accurately solve addition and subtraction problems at 80% accuracy.
Objective 1:Given 25 basic facts, _________ will fluently multiplication and division within five seconds per fact with 80% accuracy.
Objective 2: Given a real life word problem involving whole numbers, _________ will identify what operation (multiplication and division) is needed to solve a problem at 80% accuracy.
Objective 3: Given a real life word problem involving whole numbers, _________ will accurately solve the problem at 80% accuracy.
