This mini-book is a companion to the book “There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Rose” and is full of Valentine’s Day activities to enrich the story.
Pack contains 3 main files and also 2 support files (dice and spinner). Activities included are appropriate for literacy or math's centers, whole class activities and home study as well.
PPT presentation to use it in the classroom with any type of interactive board. Use F5 for full screen and clicks or keyboard arrows to run presentation.
Two PDF files (color and BW) for printing. So your students will be able to write while they watch the presentation.
I have included activities that target sequencing, story retell, comprehension, basic language concepts, and basic math’s operations as patterns, comparisons, addition, multiplication etc.
Slides/pages 2-8 contain the story with pictures and questions.
Slides/pages 9-17 target story comprehension and sequencing. The pictures are combined with text boxes for each student to complete with guidance, independently, or with a small group.
Slide/pages 18-30 contain grammar and writing activities as verb swallow and synonyms verbs tenses, rhymes, syllables, alphabetical order, sorting verb and nouns, punctuation marks and scrambled sentences.
Slide/pages 31-39 target to math’s activities.
