This file contains sixteen word problems for Valentine’s Day based on Pre-Algebra. Students will put their knowledge of fractions, decimals, percents, proportions, volume (cups, ounces and gallons), surface area, perimeter, and area to use. All problems are standardized test-type. An answer key is provided. The problems are given in both PDF and Power Point.

Lessons begin at 4th grade and are appropriate for the Middle School and some High School students. These projects have been used successfully in both the Elementary and Middle School levels.
