Description

Engage students in writing a thoughtful valentine craft to someone including an opinion or factual writing paper on why that person is the sweetest person. Students will love this fun Valentine's Day activity, and it makes a great valentines gift for parents at home.

This lesson can be taught in one day or stretched out throughout five days. Students generate ideas for their writing, then will turn those ideas into a full writing project. This project can be taught throughout a week, or squeezed into one morning.

There are two versions of this craft:

  • Primary Lined (with a sentence stem "The sweetest person is...")
  • Intermediate Version (with planning, drafting, editing and publishing pages)
