Product Description
Package of 4 Chocolate-inspired Lessons
(Focusing on fractions and creative writing)

♥ Chocolate Candy Key
Students must create a key for a box of chocolates by carefully reading descriptive blurbs and matching each image to it’s name and description.
*Includes answer key.

♥ Box of Chocolate Fractions
Students must use the descriptions from the previous activity to answer a series of math problems. Problems include creating (and reducing) fractions, solving word problems, and comparing fractions using >, <, or =.
*Includes answer key.

♥ Fill This Order
Students are asked to pretend that they work at a chocolate factory creating custom boxes of chocolates. Students must read their customer’s requirement order and figure out how many chocolates in their box need to meet certain requirements.
For example – “1/4 of the chocolates must contain caramel” – so the student would determine that since there are 12 chocolates altogether in their box, 3 would have to contain caramel.
Students will first solve their fraction problem, then create their chocolates names and descriptions, and then draw them into the empty wrappers.
*Includes answer key.
* 4 different customer cards included

♥ I Have … Who Has…?
To play this game, students will work in a group of 2-3 and solve a variety of fraction problems. The student will begin by reading a statement claiming what fraction of chocolates they have (written as a fraction) and then they must ask the group “who has…” and determine the fraction they are looking for based on an image. Fractions must be reduced when possible.
