Here is another social skills activity that I created for my holiday-themed social skills series. The format is very similar to that of the Christmas and Thanksgiving versions, but there are new scenarios and prompts, along with a Valentine's Day theme. I made this to practice manners and build general social problem solving and social skills. This works great for students with high functioning Autism and students with general social skills deficits.
While not all the scenarios are related to Valentine's day (I just couldn't think of that many possible social issues for VD!), the overall presentation of the game is to match up with this special day.
CONTENTS (all PDF):
•36 scenarios / social skills situations
•9 blank cards to make your own scenarios
•1 candy box visual
•Candy pictures to place in candy box
1.Cut out and laminate all items.
2.Place candy box picture on the table.
3.Read a scenario out loud and have students respond – if they are able to respond appropriately, they get to place a matching chocolate into the candy box.
4.If they manage to fill the box, they win.
I figured this would be the perfect activity for Valentine's Day! Please check out my other holiday-themed items for Speech therapy and the regular education classroom.
