Common Core Math Standard
Fun Valentine's Day Version of:
5 NBT.2 Explain patterns in the number of zeros of the product when multiplying a number by powers of 10, and explain patterns in the placement of the decimal point when a decimal is multiplied or divided by a power of 10.
Task: Students will practice the pattern movement of the decimal when multiplied or divided by powers of 10. The 12 smaller squares are placed together to create one larger square. Unfortunately the pieces are not in the correct arrangement. Your task is to solve each math equation and match the equation to the answer.
Directions: Cut apart the 12 smaller squares. Place the piece with the equation next to the piece that has the answer so that they are side by side. When all the pieces are matched up correctly the large square will appear.
