This is a differentiated following directions/reading comprehension Valentine themed activity. It is great for use in a “word work” station, intervention group or as a whole group activity. Three levels are included!
Level A: Students read the story and use the context clues to color the picture
Level B: Students read the story and use the context clues to color the picture, the circled number at the end of each paragraph indicates the number of instructions embedded in that paragraph
Level C: Students read a numbered list of direct instructions and use them to color the picture
Directions: Give each student a leveled passage appropriate for their ability level and a picture. Instruct students to read their passage and color the picture accordingly.
