This Valentine’s Day Matchups activity kit contains four different matchup games that can be used in small group center activities or independently. There are four different sets of games (each two pages) that can be used in a puzzle format or in a matching/memory format. Photos included for examples.
Blue set = antonyms
Pink set = synonyms
Green set = rhyming pairs
Purple set = picture-word matching (for children at a lower skill level you can even make two sets of the picture cards and have them match picture to picture)
To use, print out all of the pages that you need and laminate all pages containing hearts. Separate into colored sets. To use in a matching format, cut apart all heart squares and simply make matches with cards facing up, or turn them over and use in a memory game. (I’ve included four coordinating heart background pages that you can glue to the back of the sets prior to laminating to reduce cheating if you are using thin paper or you can use your own construction/other colored paper) To use in a puzzle format, only cut apart the solid filled colored pages into individual squares.
Happy Valentine's Day!
