This set of centers is great for preschool, kindergarten, RTI, special education, and homeschool students. It is differentiated for your students needs!
Students are able to work on the skill that they need to master: identifying beginning sounds, ending sounds, or CVC words.
Objective: Students will match the CVC words on the envelopes to the beginning sound, ending sound, or CVC word on the stamp. Students will complete an extension worksheet to write or stamp the CVC word, or the ending or beginning sound.
Common Core Standards
CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RF.K.3 Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words.
Print and laminate envelopes, stamps, and direction card for center. You can add Velcro to the envelopes. It makes it even more fun for students to use Velcro in a center.
Put the pictorial directions in the center.
Students will match the stamps with beginning sounds, ending sounds, or CVC words to correct picture on the envelope. Students will match the stamps to envelopes to “mail” their letters.
Students will complete the recording worksheet. Students will either stamp or write the beginning sounds, ending sounds, or the entire CVC word on the recording worksheet.
Students will complete the extension worksheet for beginning or ending sounds. Students will use bingo markers to stamp the correct sound.
