Subitizing is recently becoming recognized as an important mathematical concept. Students will be able to build skills that will help them gain an understudying of seeing mathematical patterns that will lead to an understanding of multiplication. One type of subtilizing is the ability to see small number sets without counting and know they are are certain amount. These are easily recognizable patterns such as a 5 face on a die. The other ability in subtilizing is the ability to see parts and combine them. For example seeing 2 ten frames and 3 extra on a ten frame and know the number quickly would be subtilizing.
This pack includes 14 pages with 2 on each page of subtilizing cards. There are simple and more difficult patterns to help your students build in their ability to quickly recognize numbers or to join them and know a specific amount.
