Valentines day

Celebrate Valentine´s Day and practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, division or fractions!

Math, Colors, Scissors - 004 - Valentine´s Day - 3rd grade - Common Core Aligned

With this product your students will decorate your class with fun Christmas pennants at the same time as they review the following Common Core Standards:
3.NBT.1: Use place value understanding to round whole numbers to the nearest 10 or 100.
3.NBT.2: Fluently add and subtract within 1000 using strategies and algorithms based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction.
3.OA.4: Determine the unknown whole number in a multiplication or division equation relating three whole numbers.
3.OA.7: Fluently multiply and divide within 100, using strategies such as the relationship between multiplication and division
3.GA.2: Partition shapes into parts with equal areas. Express the area of each part as a unit fraction of the whole.
3.NF.3: Explain equivalence of fractions in special cases, and compare fractions by reasoning about their size.

Your students will solve the math problems and color the pictures following the code. When they finish coloring they can cut out the pennants to decorate your class :)

This pack includes 10 pennants:
Pennant 1:
3.NBT.1: Round to the nearest 100.
Pennant 2:
3.NBT.2: Add within 1000.
Pennant 3:
3.NBT.2: Subtract within 1000.
Pennant 4:
3.OA.4: Determine the unknown whole number in a multiplication equation relating three whole numbers.
Pennant 5:
3.OA.4: Determine the unknown whole number in a division equation relating three whole numbers.
Pennant 6:
3.OA.7: Multiply and divide within 100.
Pennant 7:
3.GA.2: color by looking at the shapes and using the words: one half, one third, one fourth, one fifth, one sixth.
Pennant 8:
3.GA.2: color by looking at the shapes and using the words: one half, one third, one fourth, one fifth, one sixth.
Pennant 9:
3.NF.3: Recognize the equivalent fractions and color by code.
Pennant 10:
3.NF.3: Recognize the equivalent fractions and color by code.

I include 10 pennants in black and white. I also include a full color version of each pennant which you can use as the answer key. That makes a total of 20 pages!
