This set of cards features the heart, diamond, spade, and club you're familiar with but there are no numbers in the corners. Instead, this set of "go fish" cards features strategies to reinforce preterite (AR and ER/IR) verb forms (regular and irregular) in Spanish. One suit features the "yo form," another the "tú form," another the "él/ella, Ud.," and the last has the "ellos(as)/Uds." form. When students ask for a card from their classmates, they MUST know how to conjugate verb into one of those four pronoun forms in the preterite. They MUST pronounce it correctly.
NO PREP! Just print (two-sided) onto card stock, cut out, and play!
TO PLAY: Students must stay in the target language. They must ask: "¿Tienes ____?" In the blank, they will say the time in Spanish. If they have the card (la carta) being asked for they reply with "Sí, la tengo" and if they do not have the card, they reply with "No, no la tengo." If their classmate(s) do(es) not have the card, they must "go fish" for it.
