I use this in the first week of physics class to help students remember and apply the mathematics learned in previous classes. Many students have never worked with equations without numbers and calculators. This worksheet helps them to recall math rules they know, but forget, and to read equations with subscripts. Without this review of solving equations, many students get lost and give up in the first weeks. These are the Physics Equations used throughout the year and is a good after summer primer for physics. Most are basic Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 problems with a few quadratic, fractions, and an inverse trig function thrown in for higher level students. There is an additional Challenge Problem from Special Relativity to provide stimulation for the advanced students. This is a quick way to gage the math level of the class. I use it every year.
