Vectors Bundle – 6 worksheets
This bundle has 6 self-checking puzzle worksheets. Once the worksheets are completed, the answer to a riddle or a saying is revealed. The following are the descriptions of the worksheets included in this bundle.
1. Add and Subtract Vectors by Graphing
Five vectors are given at the top of the page on a grid. The students are to complete eight different vector addition problems by actually drawing out the vectors. The resultant vector will point to a letter or letters. Those are the clues to help solve the riddle.
2. Finding Magnitude and Direction of Vectors
This is the classic ‘find the magnitude (to the nearest tenth) and direction’ problems given an initial point and a terminal point. No drawing is involved.
3. Drawing, Component Form and Operations on Vectors
This is a review of actually drawing vector addition, finding the component form of a vector, finding the magnitude to the nearest tenth, and vector addition by algebra.
4. Component Form, Magnitude, Addition of Vectors
This is a review of finding the component form of a vector, finding the magnitude to the nearest tenth, and vector addition by algebra.
5. Finding the Direction of the Vector Given Its Component Form
This worksheet gives the students a vector in i-j form or component form. The students are to find the angle between the vectors using the arccos, dot product and magnitude. My students found drawing a quick sketch helps.
6. Magnitude of One Vector and Dot Product and Angles between Two Vectors
This is a review of finding the dot product, finding the magnitude to the nearest tenth, and finding the angle between the angles formed by the two vectors.
