Many students and even adults don’t realize how the vegetables they eat daily grow. They just purchase them at the grocery store and prepare them for dinner. In this creative art lesson the students learn how the vegetables grow in a fun and interesting manner. Plus they experience creating a mixed media art project with the ever popular oil pastels and a tempera resist.

The included coloring sheet is a reward system I use in the elementary classroom. I copy a designated number of coloring sheets and refer to them as limited edition prints. I create a coloring sheet for most lessons. The students, teachers and parents try to collect a full set each year.
