This is a square version of the well-known VENN DIAGRAM, but as an ACTIVE FORM PDF. It's great for SMARTBOARDs or computer lab work, and can be taken home as either a handout or an electronic file a student can type and print, or type and email back to the teacher.
UPDATE 10/30/2011: CAN NOW BE FILLED OUT AND SAVED IN ADOBE READER.
Update: For each object being compared, I have split the field into smaller boxes, which makes it more natural to fill in and read...more like students would do in writing on a handout.
This is a great way to take advantage of technology. And take care of the particular needs of some graphologically-challenged students. Students with dysgraphia, in particular, can often be the most intelligent in the class with no way to show it in writing. These forms have been one way to help them bring out their best.
SOME DETAILS and possible concerns:
The form will not print the blue of the fields. That's only to guide the person entering into it. Click in the box and the blue disappears.
Don't worry about not having enough space to write! The text entered into the fields will shrink to fit the amount entered.
For this online version, the fields use color type. "Object 1" uses RED type. "Object 2" uses BLUE type. The "Common Area" uses PURPLE type to show the combination of the two Objects. NOTE: it only prints color on a color printer. Otherwise, it prints in grayscale or black.
