This engaging, activity puts a fun spin on identifying verbs in a sentences and reviewing those irregular verbs! (Just as bats are said to transform into vampires, verbs can change form, too!) It also makes a creative bulletin board or school hallway display for October.
Students will complete a worksheet where they practice two skills.
1. First, they identify the two verbs in the sentence by underlining them.
2. All of the verbs used are written in the irregular past tense form, so below each sentence, students write the regular present tense form.
Then, they use the words on the worksheet as they assemble the craftivity.
Student-friendly directions are included so that you can place the directions under your document camera, and students can refer to them as they complete the project. (An answer key is also included.)
Check out the preview! Most of the pages are shown!
