This packet is the first in a series of 5 which is designed to introduce children with motor speech planning deficits on how to produce individual consonant sounds. Each sound has two activities that focus on the sound in isolation, and provide students with fun and motivating opportunities for multiple practices within each session.
Included in the packet are activities for 14 consonant sounds: /p/, /b/, /w/, /m/, /n/, /t/, /d/, /k/, /g/, /s/, /z/, /f/, /sh/, and /l/, as well as a vowel activity. These "Vowel Owls" are for practicing the vowel sounds. I use them at the beginning of each session. When each consonant sound is mastered, the vowels can be paired with one of the little cards from each activity to give a visual cue for producing CV and VC combinations.
