How to Play Basketball "Parts of Speech": Nouns, Verbs & Adjectives
Object: Be the first player to reach the end and win!
Place the word cards in a deck (facedown).
Each player should select a marker for a game piece.
After placing markers on the START square the youngest player
Choosing a card from the top of the deck, the player decides what
part of speech the word belongs to. (Car -> Noun) The other players should check the Word Lists to make sure it is correct.
The player moves his or her marker to the first available Part of Speech square that matches the card. Each player repeats this process.
FREE THROW card: If the FREE THROW card is drawn, the player goes to the next/ closest FREE THROW square. In some cases, the player will need to go backwards to get to the FREE THROW spot. The player must name an example of a NOUN, a VERB and an ADJECTIVE. If each answer is correct, the player gets another turn. If any of the 3 examples is wrong, the player does not get another turn.
