This document has 6 different "pages", 1 front page and 5 back and front, 1 for each specific vertebrate ! The front cover is a basic fill in the blank about all vertebrate groups with a simple a graphic organizer. This can be used as individual work or whole group. It's been used as station work, and then whole group to check the answers at the end.
The front cover, titled "Vertebrates" is printed on it's own, single sided (we did this whole group before the stations). The rest of the pages are meant to be printed front and back. Each vertebrate page includes a front page with a place for the student to draw a picture, circle if it is ectothermic or endothermic, fill in the blank on basic info, and list fun facts and examples of the groups. The back is meant as a "review" or summary of the info on the front. There are some true/false questions and short response.
The vertebrate groups include:
Once finished, the pages can be cut and placed together as a booklet. There is a space on the left to staple all sheets together. If you want this book to be glued into an interactive notebook, you would also have to include a blank last page! It can also be placed in a pocket.
(If you are using this as station work, about 20 minutes per station seemed to work well! It took 2 days to complete the stations, 2 one day and 3 the next. Then it took about 2 days to go over the answers, as I played a few Life video segments after each 'chapter'. The students seemed to love it!!)
