This is a download for 4 pages that will help you to create a vertical alphabet poster in your PreK- 2 grade classroom.
This type of poster can really help build automaticity of letter-sound relationships through use of daily phonics routines or alphabet instruction.
Each letter is represented by a clipart image and word spelling for ALL its sounds.
For example, 'A' is represented by words for both its short and long sounds, and 'C' is represented by words for both its hard and soft sounds.
---ALSO: 'Q' is not represented on its own, since we don't see it spelled that way in the English language; 'u' is pictured right alongside its "best friend".
There are NO representations for digraphs, blends, or vowel teams. What you will get is reference poster for single-letter alphabet knowledge (with the exception of "QU").
However, the poster is 'framed' by blocks of colors and color words.
If you download this printable, please take time to leave some constructive feedback.
