Attention buyer- I have a similar but different product to this one, also in my store that was created after extensive research on learning to count. This product is a length model traditional number line but vertical. The other (new) product counts blocks vertically and is called a number path. See my other product thumbnails for clarification.
This product has four build-able vertical number line puzzles of varying complexity appropriate for later kindergarten, first and second as well as for special education and intervention. Vertical number lines give struggling students a different perspective on larger versus smaller numbers by aligning larger numbers to be higher than smaller ones. This is what kids understand- bigger things are taller or higher up than smaller things. The three puzzlers following the complete number line, have missing numbers students must fill in. The hardest puzzler has missing numbers where the 10s change. This is especially challenging when students are counting back. That change from 52, 51, ____, ____, is a BEAR for some students. Use these puzzlers in whole or in part. Second graders who can't count back, can't subtract or count back starting from any number and especially in groups of 10 really benefit from extended time with number lines! These puzzlers have many, many uses!
