A fun, spring book featuring the beloved hungry caterpillar--perfect sized book for little hands!
My kiddos loved this activity--the hole punch it is quite a hand workout! These little books work on counting, number writing, fine motor, eye-hand coordination and predictable text reading all in one.
Two sets of this book are included: One where students record the number of bite holes; one where students trace the correct number of bite holes.
These sheets could be worked on one page at a time to coordinate with a number of the week or be put together into a #1-10 counting book. Just print the pages, stack the pages up 1-10, staple the side of each book and cut on the lines to make 4 books per set of pages.
Students then use a hole punch to punch the holes that the hungry caterpillar eats from the leaf on each page. Number writing comes in to play when the students count the number of holes and then write that number on each page of their little book.
