This Powerpoint lesson introduces young students (k-1) to the term "sequence". In the lesson students will listen to a cartoon caterpillar explain the concept of sequencing as well as help him sequence the events of a story he tells. Then, students will listen to "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" (audio and pictures included). Afterward, they will sequence the events of the story either whole-group or individually.
The lesson includes audio on each page, but if you prefer to be the one talking you can simply turn the sound down and read the slides to your students as well as read the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
*For the audio to work automatically, you must be in "Slideshow" view when on Powerpoint. If not, you will have to click the little audio symbol at the bottom of each page manually--which is more trouble.
