What educators are saying
Description
Are you looking to add more purposeful play into your day with your students? This unit includes everything you need to set up an engaging Animal Clinic Pretend Play center in your classroom or at home. I've included links for things you might want to purchase, but you can easily use this resource with stuffed animals and other items you have at home.
I created this unit with Preschool and Pre-K in mind. However, research shows that play is still the most effective type of learning in young students. I added some academic extensions so that you can use this in your lower elementary school classroom. After students participate in the dramatic play, they can work on their writing, measuring and problem solving skills. This unit is ideal for teaching compassion and empathy. Dramatic Play is a powerful way to help students learn about and practice social-emotional skills. A vet clinic is ideal for teaching about compassion and empathy.
The following resources are included. This packet is included in color and black/white for easy printing.
