Veteran, Veteran, What Do You See?, is an adaptation of the book, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, by Eric Carle.
For this lesson, students are required to provide a descriptive adjective for five items to complete the story. Vocabulary can be developed as well as reading a familiar text. Spatial concepts of over, above, next to, under and all around are also reviewed.
There are 12 pages of the book, however, I did duplicate it on original form of a PowerPoint so you can provide your students with a copy that will not consume your color ink! I thought the color version could be used to present the book to the students and make it motivating.
In addition, I created a worksheet to go along with the book to promote the development of descriptive adjectives! Clip-art from www.ScrapinDoodles.com was purchased for this lesson, as well as clip-art from www.kozzi.com
