Veterans’ Day is an informational text written for primary readers. After reading, students answer “Right There” questions and complete a concept map. There is a list of ideas for projects. Students may write an acrostic poem, write a letter to a veteran, make a poster detailing one branch of the military, write and perform a puppet show, and/or make a card for a veteran.
