An essential part of any ABA program!

Includes assorted cards and charts to help reinforce positive behaviors and give children an appropriate way to ask for help. Assembly is easy. Simply print and cut apart the picture cards. To ensure longevity, I recommend printing on heavyweight cardstock and laminating. Affixing hook and loop Velcro keeps picture cards in place.

Th is a system for addressing problematic behaviors. In this system, the levels of behavior correspond to different levels on the “traffic light” – green, yellow, and red. Green is the highest level of privileges (when the child is behaving well), yellow is the next level (when the child is engaging in minor problem behaviors), and red is the level on which the child is engaging in severe problem behaviors, such as a meltdown or aggressive behavior.

The child moves to different levels in the system depending on his or her behavior. The goal of the system is to motivate the child to control his or her own behavior in order to earn rewards and privileges. The focus is not on punishment, but rather reinforcing the child for behaving appropriately.

The child will start the day with their name circle on the green light and/or a green card. If inappropriate behavior arises move the circle to the yellow light and/or give a yellow card. If their behavior improves move their name back to the green light and/or give back a green card. However, if the inappropriate behavior persists or escalates, the name circle will be moved to the red light and/or a red card will be issued. At that point the child will be given a time out.

R E W A R D : C H A R T
A simple way to reinforce positive behaviors. After earning five stars the child earns the reward they were working towards.
