Vietnam War Game. Active Learning. Simulation. Art-Based.
My 8th Grade students really enjoy this game! It is one of their favorite lessons because there is opportunity to draw, research, play a game, and discuss as a class. This is a simulation bundle investigating the Viet Cong's booby traps in the Vietnam War.
First: Students research different types of booby traps and fill in a graphic organizer.
Second: Students split into teams for a game simulating booby traps.
*You will need four blindfolds for this activity.*
Third: Students answer discussion questions. You can do this individually, or in a group.
This activity hits a lot of different learning styles. The activity is aimed to get students moving in class, and experiencing active learning.
