You need to know this before you buy: for the letters that go with the bow picture (letter card number 19) and the letters/envelopes picture (letter card number 26), you will have to add your own marks to complete the letters before laminating. The font I used does not support these particular letters of the VN alphabet, but since the font is very kid friendly I kept it. If you have ever spent time searching for Vietnamese resources for your classroom, as I have - this is an easy fix and worth it. We know students learn best when they are immersed in print. I have searched far and wide to find a Vietnamese alphabet to hang across my bulletin board that would be similar to the ones many companies have created for the English alphabet, but have been unable to find one I like. I decided to create my own. I added the "English" equivalent sound for each Vietnamese sound along with the picture to further enhance comprehension. Print on card stock, in color, trim as you desire, laminate and you can hang it year after year as a VN alphabet line for your classroom. You might also just keep it handy as a set for teaching the VN alphabet and sounds. Take the stack with you and review in the hallway. Use them with small groups. There will be a smaller version coming out hopefully some time this summer. I hope your journey teaching or learning Vietnamese is a joyful one. Thanks for your interest!
