We watched this film with our 8th graders as we began Sherman Alexie's novel, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian. It provided context for them to understand what the setting of the book might be like. The students LOVE watching this film; it opened their eyes to many things that they did not know about. (And we must admit that Spurlock does a REALLY GOOD job of capturing his reservation experience. It's a fantastically interesting film.)
The running time of the film is 43 minutes and you can access the episode here:
