Product Description
Games, directions, and cards.

29 pages of cards with 9 cards per page for 261 review cards for vocabulary! It takes some prep (parent volunteers, students fast finishers), but just once for YEARS of use.

These cards will have SEVEN sets of directions, because there are at least five different games and activities you can do with them to review and keep the information interesting!

Five activities you can do are:
1) UH-OH, NO NO! - Similar to Taboo (2 sets of direction to use with the game: 1 set is for a timer, 1 is if you don’t have a timer available)
2) 20 Questions with a Twist (each clue is = 3 questions) – you could do a hangman version with this as well.
3) Five or Less to Guess (2 sets of directions. 1 is the original game, 1 is the adapted hangman version)
4) Taboo Write and Guess
5) Taboo center, partner, or individual writing about the word.

These cards have the main points from the standards or important vocabulary relating to or helping to understand the standards. Each one then has five words below each main word that are related to it in some way to review and reinforce the curriculum. The students will have fun stretching themselves to come up with different ways to talk about or describe these familiar topics. This is extension and can incorporate synonyms, antonyms, etc. to help describe the words. What I love about it is they are constantly referencing the cards, looking at the vocabulary, and associating the words with the vocabulary, so it is a review and reinforcement the whole time. While thinking of other ways to say it or what the word can mean, they are applying it in different ways and working towards a mastery.

The possibilities are endless! You can also do a headbands type game with them, which I haven’t tried.

If you want more than one set to use as centers or in groups, copy them onto different colored paper to differentiate between the sets.

It is bundled with Guess It! Virginia History SOL Review Virginia Games Bundle! for 30% off the price of both.

It is also included in my Growing Virginia Bundle!
