Here's a visually rich set of word wall cards/posters that you can display in your classroom as you teach your students about Virginia's American Indians (aligned with Virginia Studies VS.2d-g)!
Key terms/places/people include: archaeologist, artifact, climate, crops, native people(s), settlement, settler, tribe, vegetation, Werowocomoco, Jamestown, Christopher Columbus, and Powhatan.
There is a word wall card for each of the above terms/places/people. In addition, there are three posters included (the 3 major American Indian language groups of Virginia, how Woodland Indians got food during the different seasons, and current state-recognized tribes).
Note: the two people cards have a name and picture only - no facts. I've done this purposely because of how I use these cards in my classroom. If you would prefer to have key information on these cards, please email me at email@example.com and I will add those to the set.
Please check out the preview to see examples of what's included in this resource!
