Increase engagement with this hands-on set of sorting cards that students can use to review the locations and geographical features of Virginia's five regions! This is a fun review activity that students can use alone or in small groups, and it's also great to use for an assessment!

This resource includes a hands-on printable version as well as a digital version in Google Slides™. Use in your classroom or for distance learning!

Printable version:

Students cut apart the sorting cards and place them in the correct columns in the chart to match each region to its location description, location on a map, and geographical characteristics. They can glue them when finished. Alternatively, you can laminate the materials for long-term use in a center.

Digital version:

Students click and drag to move the sorting cards to the correct columns in the chart. Please note that you will need a Google account to use this paperless version.

An answer key is included.
