What educators are saying

This is an amazing resource for sellers or VAs. It is packed full of value and really gave me clarity on hiring help for my business.
This ebook is chock full of great information for those wishing to hire a VA or become one. I bought it this morning and have already devoured the information! Thank you!

Description

If you’re looking for a virtual assistant or are wanting to become a virtual assistant, this is the ebook for you!

This ebook was used to prepare the virtual session for #TpTForward21. With purchase you get access to the ebook, a link to watch the July 2021 video "How to Hire Your First Virtual Assistant", and an invitation to the private FB group.

HoJo has been a registered seller on Teachers Pay Teachers since 2009, becoming a premium member in 2011. She became a virtual assistant in 2015 and did that as consistently as TPT through 2019. In 2020 HoJo shifte to focus more on her own business, but she does still randomly help out with VA tasks for former clients and friends (as of 2023).

This 26 page ebook outlines HoJo's story, duties a virtual assistant (VA) can complete, tips for both the VA and the teacherpreneur, tips specific for the teacherpreneur when considering hiring a VA, and tips for the virtual assistant who is just getting started.

This ebook is meant for the entrepreneur who has not yet hired a virtual assistant and the aspiring virtual assistant who has not yet had any clients. While those who have experience hiring or being a VA may find the information in this ebook valuable, it is set up more for the novice.

Tips for both parties are broken into the following sections:
→ communication
→ considering a trial period
→ having an agreement
→ handling deadlines
→ getting approval before going live
→ taxes
→ ending services

Topics for the teacherpreneur include:
→ spending money to make money
→ how much services may cost
→ ideas for finding a VA
→ questions to consider before hiring a VA
→ giving honest feedback
→ that it’s ok to ask questions
→ paying in a timely manner
→ responding to correspondence promptly
→ not having to “give away” the key to your TpT store

The new or aspiring virtual assistant will get information on:
→ finding work
→ how to handle people who reach out to you
→ guidelines on how much to charge
→ communication tips
→ deciding how to set up billing
→ how to actually bill clients
→ handling confidentiality
→ coming up with routines and organization
→ providing ongoing communication
→ how to avoid overbooking and handling it if it does happen
→ tips to just get started
→ tax ideas
→ loving your VA work
→ resources

The best part about this ebook? You will be given access to a secret Facebook group just for teacherpreneurs and virtual assistants who are seeking one another. Instructions for accessing this group are included on page 23 and 24 of your download.

With purchase you will get a link to watch the 35 minute video Heather created for TpT Forward 2021. The video was created using the ebook, so the information is largely the same. However, this way audio learners can access all that I share without the need to read the entire ebook. =)

The Facebook group includes copies of the contract Heather uses (although she is not a lawyer, so definitely do your own homework!). As of April 2023, there are over 270 people in the group - allowing you to network, ask questions, and learn from others.

If you are considering leaving the teaching profession to work from home, this may be a good fit for you. Read this ebook to find out how becoming a virtual assistant and helping others improve their online businesses will be a good teaching alternative. You can earn thousands of dollars each month - oftentimes while still being a stay at home mom to your own child/ren.

If you have any questions before buying or after, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me via my Q&A tab.
