LONG STORY, SHORT:
- This is a Virtual Escape Room using Google Forms.
- The scenario is based on the 2003 film Elf starring Will Ferrell.
- Students must answer six questions in order to "escape!"
This Escape Room would be perfect as a quick review before an assessment, or as an activity after a lesson to gauge student's learning. It is super - beneficial as a self - checking activity because students must correctly answer the questions in order to "escape!"
Further, the puzzles required to "escape" scenarios nurture logic and problem solving skills.
The questions currently in the Escape Room are multiple choice and deal with a wide range of Algebra 1 concepts (previously used in a freshman Algebra 1 class as a semester review), but the questions can be easily changed to match what is being done in your classroom.
NOTE: This is one of my more straight-forward, less inventive escape rooms. It's a good one to start with if it's one of your first to do, but the puzzles aren't as 'fun' to figure out.
