The International Space Station and Space Vehicle Mockup Facility provides models of the various units of the existing International Space Center which are arranged as part of a floor model for research and training. The newest spacecraft which will carry astronauts to Mars one day can also be seen where work continues toward the future mission Various astronaut training areas and space travel vehicles are also visible. Rocket Park allows visitors to be astonished at the actual size of the Saturn V Rocket with exhaust nozzles that are approximately 11.5 feet wide.
This Virtual Field Trip to NASA's Johnson Space Center provides a great avenue for integrating technology into the classroom without the expense of actually travelling to the center. You can use this field trip to encourage your students to create their own using digital picture images from an actual trip or one that is researched on the internet.
