The growth of the Internet, social networking websites, social media, and online virtual communities had been contributing within the enhancement of the freedom with the communication among the different members of the society. Minorities and excluded social groups had been successfully contributing within the online communities for the purpose of the communication and the enhancement of their interaction. Members of the LGBT communities had been highly directed toward the online and Internet and electronic channels for the purpose of the exhibition of their orientations and perspectives. However, throughout the employment of the online communication channels, there had been positive and negative impacts upon the members of the LGBT communities (Gonzalez, McKallagat, & Whitten-Woodring, 2017). The following research would be highlighting the role of the Internet and the online virtual communities upon the empowerment of the members of the LGBT communities.
