This was originally set up as a partner project, but can easily be used as a group or independent project. Students pick attached viruses, such as chicken pox and mumps, and create a powerpoint presentation according to the accompanying rubric/guidelines. There is a presentation component in which the class will fill out during each presentation so they are an engaged audience. Finally, they will identify their contributions and responsibility to the project as well as their partners. This is a good way to cover many viruses in the unit, as the students teach their classmates about ones not covered in the text.
