A comprehensive September to June guide for a well-rounded fourth grade visual art program. Information includes: Content, Skills, Assessments and Standards. (Please note the standards listed are based on the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework Standards and 21st Century Skills).
The assessment section includes project titles with suggested media. These lessons are being added throughout the year to Studio Smart. The content can also be adapted to suit younger or older students.
The theme for the fourth grade curriculum is American artists. Students learn about diverse artists, such as Paul Klee, Georgia O'Keefe, Alexander Calder, Faith Ringgold, and others, as they create inspired works in paint, charcoal, sculpture, ink, and more.
