This middle or high school drawing activity is a great way to help students understand the numbers and letters found on pencils.
This worksheet shows various graphite scales and what it means to have a #2 pencil versus a #8. In addition it also explains what it means if an H or B is added, how that changes the scale, and speciality pencils such as ebony pencils.
On the back of the worksheet the students have an activity to complete. This is a great way for students to test out the pencils themselves.
