Product Description
Welcome to the Smock Room!

I am an elementary art teacher who takes her 3rd grade students on a global art adventure, following two "pen pals": Yianna and Helios.
I developed the story of two young globe trotters who travel the world sending my art students messages and artifacts from different countries around the world.

This particular art adventure focuses on the country of Kenya and culture of the Maasai. Students use color symbolism to design either a necklace or shield, representing their personal characteristics.

Following the adventures of Yianna and Helios is a great way to introduce students to geography, art, history, cultures and wanderlust. Have the travel bug bite your students, even from the classroom.
