This lesson is the introductory power point for a K-1 lesson on cakes (lines, patterns, layers, details, etc.).
This DOES NOT come with the individual written lesson plans.
This power point features different unique and whimsical cakes with two slides dedicated to a compare/contrast discussion of two cakes.
NOW INCLUDED: The last slide has Instructor Discussion Questions to assist in achieving a meaningful dialogue with your students such as:
What kind of patterns do you see?
Do patterns always need to be in a line or can they be mixed up?
If the cake were to be flipped upside down, would it stand up or fall over?
Are any of these cakes use decorations other than frosting? If we were to draw the cakes, what other materials could we use to decorate them?
Are cakes important to celebrations?
How do cakes make people feel?
