The 2014 National Art Educators’ Association (NAEA) National Core Visual Arts elementary grade level standards (pre-K– fifth), written as “I Can” statements, in numerical order. Next are the 2017 South Carolina Visual Arts Standards, which are not assigned to grade levels. I have included the “Novice” Range, as it refers to elementary students, at the Low, Mid, and High levels. The processes, anchors, benchmarks, and indicators are written as “I Can” statements, in numerical order.
These visuals will not only aid your students, but also ensure that teachers in S.C. meet their new teacher evaluation standards, having standards posted for all students to be able to see, and teachers to reference throughout each lesson.
