Visual Communication Board to accompany the finger play Way Up High in the Apple Tree. Use with students on the Autism spectrum, and other low-and-non-verbal students, inclusive classes, and ELL. Board provides visual support during circle time, and facilitates retelling. This license allows you to make extra copies for your own use as a classroom set. While you teach and re-teach the song, point to the picture on the board, and encourage students to do the same. After the student is familiar with the finger play, he or she can use the board to retell the story. Even non-verbal students can take an active part in circle time when visual communication tools are used. They can select songs, ask for more, or tell you they like/dislike the activity. A song choice card and additional apples are provided. Many goals can be targeted using this board.
