Visual cuing for orientation by Kristina Heth, MS CCC-SLP.
Quickly and easily post visual cues for orientation in a person's room at a new facility, a new location, or a new room or apartment. This set includes a Visitor's Log to record visits from friends and family, a sign to hang in an easy to see location for environmental orientation, and a sign to hang for Therapy orientation.
Use of visual orientation cues reduces anxiety, decreases loneliness, and improves adherence to recommendations such as use of walker or hip precautions.
These visual cues are designed for use by speech pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and any staff or family members in a hospital or facility, or home setting.
