Great introduction activity for an Ancient History/Global Studies course! Currently used with a 9th grade Global Studies course.
This quick activity can be completed in pairs, small groups or individually. After the initial examination of each image, discuss what students discovered as a class.
Students examine a variety of images (maps, artifacts, drawings) to determine how early humans lived, worked, survived, and how they began to form communities.
Students do not need any background information to complete this activity. It provides a good jumping off point for the beginning of a unit and gives students an opportunity to practice examining a variety of sources.
